Privacy policy
This page explains what data we process on capitalenclaro.com, what for, who we share it with and how you can decide about it. It describes what this site actually does, not a generic template.
Who processes your data
Capital en Claro is not a company. It is an independent financial education project run by a single person, who acts under that name and is the controller of the data described here. They work on their own account from a country in Latin America, outside the European Union, and handle your data with the level of protection that European rules require.
The contact channel is asistencia@capitalenclaro.com. You can use it for any privacy question and to exercise your rights.
We do not publish their full legal name or home address, for personal safety. Their full identification details are available to any authority that requests them and to anyone who needs them to exercise a right or file a complaint: just ask at that address.
What data we collect
The site is static content: you can read all of it without signing up, logging in or paying. There is no user account. We only process data in three cases.
The contact form. On the contact page we ask for your first name, last name, mobile number with your country code and email address. All four fields are required. There is also a consent box that comes unticked and that you have to tick yourself. We keep a record of that consent: that the box was ticked, what for, and the date and time.
Advertising attribution. If you arrive from an ad, your browser brings parameters in the address (“gclid”, “gbraid”, “wbraid” and the “utm_*” ones). We keep them only during your visit, together with the page you arrived on and the page you came from, and they travel with your message if you decide to write to us. They tell us which ad led to the enquiry. They do not identify anyone on their own, and they disappear if you do not send the form.
Measurement. We use the Google tag, Google Ads conversion tracking and Microsoft Clarity, which shows us how the pages are used (clicks, scrolling and recordings of browsing) so we can improve them. None of them stores anything on your device until you accept it.
To show you the currency of the historical exercise and your country's phone code, the server works out your country from the IP address of the request. It is only used to show you the page: we do not store it or link it to you.
What we use it for
The form data is used to get in touch with you: we send you an email to confirm we received your message and we call you on the mobile number you gave us to reply. Nothing else. The basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box. You can withdraw it by writing to us, and withdrawing it does not affect anything done before.
Advertising attribution lets us understand which campaign brings in enquiries and stop paying for the ones that do not work. Keeping it during your visit is based on our legitimate interest in measuring our own advertising; it only reaches us if you send the form.
Measurement also depends on your consent. Without it we store nothing on your device, Microsoft Clarity does not load, and Google only receives, without advertising identifiers, the signal that someone sent the form.
We do not make automated decisions about you or build profiles. Nor will we send you advertising because you used the form: if you write to us, we reply, and that is the end of it.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your data or hand it to anyone for their own purposes. Four providers work on our behalf: Netlify, which hosts the site; Resend, which delivers the notification email and the confirmation email you receive; Google, which provides the mailbox where your message is kept and receives the measurement data; and Microsoft, which provides Clarity and only receives data if you accept measurement.
There is no database or CRM behind this: the email mailbox is the only place where what you write to us is kept. We could also disclose data to an authority or a court when a rule requires us to.
Where it is processed
Your data is processed outside the European Economic Area, because the person receiving it is outside it. The providers involved are US companies. The European level of protection still applies to you, and the rights described below are exercised in the same way.
If you would like to know what we have documented on this point for each provider, ask us in writing and we will send it to you.
How long we keep it
We keep your message for as long as the conversation lasts and, at most, two years from your last message. After that we delete it from the mailbox. If a later relationship comes out of your enquiry, the data is kept for as long as it lasts and then for the legal periods that apply.
Advertising attribution that is never sent disappears on its own when you close the tab. Measurement follows the retention periods of Google Ads and Microsoft Clarity.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, to correct it if it is wrong and to delete it when it is no longer needed. You can also object to the processing, ask us to restrict it and take the data you gave us in a machine-readable format.
To exercise them, write to asistencia@capitalenclaro.com saying what you want and which address you wrote to us from. We may ask you for one more detail to confirm it is you, and only for that. We reply within one month.
If you think we have not dealt with your request properly, you can complain to a supervisory authority. If you are in Spain, that is the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es), and you can go to it even though we are outside the European Union. If you are in another country, go to the authority that corresponds to where you live. Before that, write to us: it is almost always quicker.
Cookies and local storage
Before you accept, this site does not write any cookies, whether its own or third-party. If you choose a language in the header, that choice is carried in the page address and is not stored in your browser.
Measurement starts with everything denied: advertising storage, user data for advertising, ad personalisation and analytics storage. While it stays that way, requests to Google go out without advertising identifiers. If you accept, Google and Microsoft Clarity may write their own measurement cookies (for example “_gcl_au”, “_clck” and “_clsk”).
Your choice is not stored in a cookie but in your browser's local storage, under the key “cec-consent”. It is not sent to any server: only this site reads it, on your device. Advertising attribution uses session storage, under the key “cec-attr”, as does “cec-conv-fired”, which stops the same form submission being counted twice. Both are deleted when you close the tab.
You can change your mind whenever you like: in the footer, in the Legal column, there is a “Cookie preferences” button that clears your choice and lets you decide again. You can also clear local storage and cookies from your browser.
Minors
This site is not aimed at minors and the form is not designed for them. In Spain, consent is valid from the age of fourteen; below that age, consent from whoever holds parental authority or guardianship is needed. If we receive data from a child under fourteen without that consent, we delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we do with data, we will change this text and its date. When the change affects something that depends on your consent, we will ask for it again.
