About Capital en Claro

Financial education for better decisions.
Understanding the context, not guessing the future.

Capital en Claro is an independent financial education project. We exist so you can understand what you read before you decide anything with your money: what each concept means, what context surrounds it and which questions are worth asking. The decision, and its risk, are still yours.

We believe finance is learned like anything else: with patience, everyday examples and permission to get things wrong on paper before you do it with money. What you can build is judgement: reading a piece of information, placing it in context and deciding while knowing what you would do if things turn out differently. And that judgement stays with you.

What we do

Three ways to support you.
None of them tells you what to buy.

  1. Explanations without jargon

The economy, markets, investing and personal finance in everyday language, on the site and in every reply to what you write to us. We start from situations you would recognise in any country, define the terms we use and leave you with a question so you keep thinking on your own.

  2. A method for putting information in order

Three steps repeated the same way every time: define what you have in front of you, look for the context around it and think in scenarios before deciding. It gives you an order to think in, and a way to explain afterwards why you decided as you did.

  3. Educational mentoring for those who want more

The beginner's path and the method are the foundation. If you want to work through them with someone who answers your questions and explains the concepts as many times as needed, we offer educational mentoring, and we tell you more about it when you write to us. We don't review your accounts or tell you what to do with your money.

How we work

With context.
And at your own pace.

  1. With context

An isolated figure confuses more than it helps. That's why every concept comes with what surrounds it: what came before, what is happening around it and what changes depending on each person's situation.

  2. At your own pace

There's no rush and no deadline. You can read a topic, let it settle and come back when you have a new question. Learning about money isn't a race; it's a way of looking at things that sharpens over time.

Learn. Analyse. Decide. Everything we do fits into three verbs: learn, analyse and decide. The order matters, and the last word is always yours.

One more step

What you read here is the beginning.
The rest is a conversation.

If something you read left you with a question, or you'd like to know what it's like to work through the content and the method with someone beside you, write to us. We'll explain what the mentoring involves, who it makes sense for and how it works. No deadlines, no pressure. Read it, think it over and reply whenever you like.
